IT Support Engineer & Security Associate

Key Responsibilities:

PRIMARY – IT Support

  • Onboarding: Collaborating with HR and the hiring manager to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new employees.
    • Process improvement and documentation
    • Hardware and software configure
    • Shipping gear securely and swiftly to employee’s locale
    • Provisioning all required services
  • Offboarding: Collaborating with HR and the hiring manager to ensure that termed employees are quickly removed from all system/platform services.
  • Asset Tracking: Both hardware and software asssets.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot hardware and software issues for users, and try to prevent them from happening again.
  • Installation: Install and configure hardware and software, and assist users with installing programs.
  • System updates: Perform system updates and test systems to evaluate performance.
  • Technical documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation.
  • Network maintenance: Monitor and maintain computer networks.
  • Communication: Provide technical support over the phone, email, and chat.
  • Collaboration: Work with colleagues, vendors, and management.

 

SECONDARY – Security Associate

  • Enterprise Security: Establishing and executing an enterprise security plan including:
    • Endpoint/virus protection
    • Mobile Device Management (MDM)
    • Enterprise password vaulting
    • Network Security Management
      • Wired and wireless office network security and management.
  • Security Questionnaire Support: Collaborating with executive management to provide the initial answers to partner-delivered security questionnaires.
    • Network security Management
    • Wired and wireless office network security and management.
  • Security Audit Support: Providing a supporting role with:
    • SOC 2 Type 2 Audit
    • HIGHTRUST Certification
    • PEN Testing

 

Experience & Skills Required:

  • Proven work experience as a technical support engineer.
  • System administration experience…specifically Linux administration.
  • Thorough understanding of Microsoft and Mac operating systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or computer science.
  • Knowledge of web services, API, and IP-based protocols.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Perl or Shell.
  • Knowledge of computer hardware and networking systems.
  • Good time management skills.
  • A helpful and patient manner as well as customer-focused approach and communication style
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to think critically.
